Trash and Recycling

Trash Collection

Trash collection is provided by Bill Pryor Disposal Services.  Trash pickup occurs every Monday and Thursday except for these holidays. Garbage is collected on the next regularly scheduled pickup day when our pickup day lands on a holiday.

Containers may be placed at the curb after 6 pm on the day prior to collection and must be removed by midnight of the day the containers were emptied.

Bulk Pickup

Heavy item pickup is provided by the Borough of Florham Park Public Works Department twice each year in May and September.  All residents are required to register the items to be picked up by calling the Department of Public Works at 973-410-5330 no later than noon on the Friday before the scheduled collection week.  Failure to call on time may result in your items not being picked up.  All items must be curbside by 7:00am the day of Del Webb’s assigned day. Management will inform you as to when this will be as well as additional instructions if applicable.

The Borough also offers a trash compactor located at the Environmental Center for bulk items.  You will need to obtain a compactor card which allows use of the compactor six times per year.  You can obtain a card at the Community Center Monday thru Friday, 9am until 4:30pm.

Recycling Pickup

The Morris County Municipal Utilities Department collects recycling every two weeks on a Thursday.  Here a link to the Borough’s Recycling Page.  You will find a link to the annual pickup calendar on that page.

If you missed the regular pickup, recycling may also be dropped off by residents at the Borough of Florham Park Environmental Center located at 295 Columbia Turnpike.  The Environmental Center is open on Saturdays 8AM – Noon.
